To promote career development for fellowship program directors, the Association of Specialty Professors (ASP) sponsors numerous activities and initiatives. These activities provide opportunities for fellowship program directors to disucss emerging topics, share best practices, and network with colleagues.

2009 ASP Accreditation Seminar

In spring 2009, ASP will hold the "ASP Accreditation Seminar: Site Visits, Accreditation, and the New Competencies." Recognizing a need to help fellowship program directors better understand the requirements for fellowship programs outlined by the Review Committee for Internal Medicine, the ASP Member Services Committee designed a one-day meeting to provide fellowship program directors with “hands-on” information to prepare for site visits and accreditation

Directors from all internal medicine fellowship programs are encouraged to attend. Programs that will undergo a site visit within the next two years will find the seminar of particular value.

Registration material will be available in December 2008.
